Columbia Electric supports Sgt. Peter Damon and "Homes for Our Troops"
Columbia Electric is proud to offer their assistance to "Homes for Our Troops" by donating all the electrical materials for a new home being constructed in Middleboro, MA for Sgt. Peter Damon.

"Homes for Our Troops" is an organization strongly committed to helping those who have selflessly given to their country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries. This organization assists injured service men and women and their immediate families by coordinating the process of building a new home or adapting an existing home for handicapped accessibility.

With a growing network of professionals in the building industry, building material manufacturers, and generous donors from across the USA such as Columbia Electric, are able to provide this service at little or no cost to the veteran. Columbia Electric has been working with Sgt. Damon and the contracting crew by donating the electrical materials needed to make this a worthwhile project and returning a service to Sgt. Damon.

In late December and early January work began with the New England Regional Council of Carpenters. The process involves using this home as a tool to train the apprentices on all aspects of home design and construction. Scheduling the project with the many contractors and vendors who have donated tens of thousands of dollars of labor and materials to make this project possible has begun. The outpouring of generous donations, such as Columbia Electric providing the electrical supplies, make this project a success!

Congratulations to Sgt. Peter Damon and his family who were able to move into their new home this October.  For more on this project, or others, go to : www.homesforourtroops.org
